Gods’ favor in the marketplace

God’s favor with church leadership
In February 2006, the day after our Pray Culpeper team prayed that more pastors would get involved, Rev. Randy Orndorff was elected to be President of the Culpeper Ministerial Association for all of 2006 and 2007. He is an active participant of Pray Culpeper. Pastor Randy said he would never have accepted this position if it had not been for Pray Culpeper.

In February 2006, Rick Heeren chose to feature three different people (Virginia Morton, Michael Stay, and Dr. Peck) from Culpeper in his latest book Extraordinary Miracles to be released in bookstores nationwide in late 2007.

Multiplication – the Battle Cry miracle (from 40 to 400 to 800)
In the Spring of 2006, 40 tickets were purchased by Dewey McDonnell, a Pray Culpeper participant, to send youth and youth leaders from Culpeper to the Battle Cry assembly in Pennsylvania. After that event, Dewey shared his testimony with the Pray Culpeper team at our weekly meeting. After a prayer of agreement, Dewey stepped out in faith to purchase 400 tickets for the Battle Cry assembly in Baltimore in May 2007. Later, in the Fall of 2006, God multiplied this to 800 for free.

Breaking down of racial barriers
In May 2006, Culpeper hosted three National Day of Prayer events with the additional one in the evening demonstrating the greatest unity among pastors ever. Through prophetic acts, racial barriers began coming down.

Unity with the world in prayer

The favor of God with media
On August 26, 2006, the Culpeper News, a local newspaper, started publishing a free weekly article with focused and specific prayer for one community leader each week. Dr. David Cox, the Superintendent of the Culpeper County Public School System, gave the green light for other school leaders by agreeing to be the first person prayed for. We subsequently had 3 school board members and several principles step forward. Now we are praying for government and business leaders.

First public school prayer walk

In early January 2007, the decision was made for Culpeper to host its very-first own ACT (Accelelerated Coach Training) workshop on Jan 27, 2007. This may be the water test to choose Gideon’s army to transform Culpeper.

On January 15, 2007, Bob Griffin, a world-reknown prophet visited the Culpeper Train Depot for 3 hours to prophesy. He hosts TBN sometimes. God recently opened the door for him to go into Iraq, Iran, and Turkey (the 7 churches), and Israel.

For technology, this data center is equivalent to having an airport hub in your city. Hundreds of benefits are expected to result. About 250-300 people attended this event, including most of the marketplace leaders in our community. It was the greatest demonstration of unity in the marketplace in the Culpeper community. Mr Mandina said his company chose Culpeper because of the people. Almost all the County Board of Supervisors were present. So were the school Board members. Governor Kaine gave $1 million to Culpeper from the Opportunity Fund.

God’s Way to Celebrate America’s 400th Anniversary
On May 11-12, 2007, the same weekend America’s 400th Anniversary celebration was taking place in Jamestown Virginia, Battle Cry 2007 took place at the Nissan Pavilion in northern Virginia. About 15,000-20,000 youth and youth leaders showed up for this amazing event sponsored by Teen Mania Ministries. Ron Luce, the Founder and President of Teen Mania, challenged the youth of our nation to "Rise Up" and let their voices be heard to reclaim America for God. The fact that Battle Cry took place in northern Virginia is very significant because that area has been a spiritual stronghold of the enemy in Virginia.
